Grades 11 & 12
Bronte College offers university/college preparation courses for grades 11 and 12 designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements for university and college programs. Students need to successfully complete at least fourteen credits in grades 11 and 12 in order to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Students aiming to qualify for university admissions must complete their grade 12 credits at the Pre-University level (courses are denoted as 4U/4M). The teaching and learning emphasizes theoretical aspects of the course content as well as concrete applications. All university/college preparation courses are based on rigorous provincial curriculum expectations and emphasis on the development of both independent research skills and independent learning skills. Students need to demonstrate that they have developed such required skills when they complete the senior courses.
