Bronte College is an independent multi-cultural day and boarding high school in Mississauga, Ontario founded in 1991. Language Centre Resource Teacher (part-time)

Employment Type: Part Time

Starting: Immediately

As a Teacher, you will:

  • Differentiate program for English language learners and help students progress through their individual English programs for entry into secondary level courses.
  • Teach ESL classes.
  • Attend department and staff meetings as required.
  • Prepare teaching and learning resources as required.
  • Follow Ministry of Education expectations and assessment criteria.
  • To complete any additional duties assigned by Senior Management.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: Part-time and flexible, usually weekdays 8:30am to 3:30pm

You will possess the following requirements:

  • University Degree or College diploma or equivalent working experience with a background in ESL and/or related field.
  • Ontario College of Teachers qualified (Junior/Intermediate) and in good standing.
  • Experience using a SMARTBoard is required.
  • Experience using a computer and computer applications required.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Other languages are an asset.
  • Enjoys working in a diverse multi-cultural environment

Compensation:

  • $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Cook

 

 

Employment Type: Full Time

Reporting to the Head Chef, as a cook your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for 300+ servings.
  • Assist with menu planning.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation of work area (operating, closing).
  • Clean & Sanitize equipment as per schedule or directed.
  • Maintain and clean cooking equipment (stoves, ovens, knives, etc.).
  • Report food quality issues to the Head Chef.
  • Report to work well groom, maintain clean uniform.
  • Assist with dishwashing when required.
  • Assist in receiving of food products.
  • Assist in proper stocking and inventory of food in fridges, stored room.
  • Work in compliance with health & safety procedures
  • Work in compliance food health code regulations

  • Assist in off site catering when required.

Working Conditions

  • Hours of work depend on schedule; Saturday and/or Sunday will be required.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 30 pounds

As a Cook, you will possess the following requirements:

  • Strong English communication skills a must.
  • Peel region Food Handler Certification Course required.
  • Experience is an asset.
  • Enjoys working in a diverse multi-cultural environment
